Accessibility

The site at Telegraph Lane is wheel chair accesible, with wide paths to an accesible compost toilet and to the community shed.

Some of the site is only accesible via gravel or grass paths, so please call us on 07944564302 to discuss your access needs in advance of your visit.

Toilets

We have two compost toilets on the site. One is wheelchair accesible, on a flat path that has a slight incline. The other is accesed via a gravel path.

Families

We are a family friendly project. There are accesible paths for prams, however you might want to consider baby wearing as some areas of the site are only accesible by gravel or grass paths. You are welcome to breastfeed.

Children must be supervised at all times, as some areas of the site are left to re-wild and surfaces in this area maybe uneven and have stinging nettles.

Dogs

Service animals are welcome. Please let us know in advance if you would like to bring your well behaved dog. There are bird nesting sites at ground level so dogs must be kept on leads.

Safe spaces

At our events, we create safe spaces. Many people have sensitivities due to past trauma or mental health. We make clear that we will not tolerate; racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, or degrading comments about disabilities.

We ask that interactions with others do not include ‘bulldozing’ and bullying. Aggressive and competitive behaviour is discouraged at our events. We encourage people to respect the opinions of others and try to be present to what others are actually saying and doing.

We encourage self-reflection and resist ways of pushing against each other. More privileged members are encouraged to give 'a hand up'. Self-empowered ways of engaging and mutual aid are encouraged. Consenting leadership, cooperative values and compassionate, self-aware ways of being are actively promoted.
