Earth Moves is inviting artists, makers, gardeners, young people, and creative communities from across the North West of England and North Wales to take part in our new community art competition.
This exciting competition celebrates the connection between art, nature, wellbeing, and the environment. We are looking for original artwork inspired by ecology, community, plants, landscapes, climate, wildlife, mental health, and creative expression.
Whether you create paintings, sculpture, mixed media, photography, drawing, textiles, or installation work, we want to hear from you.

Selected artworks will also be featured on the Earth Moves website as part of our growing digital community gallery celebrating grassroots creativity across the North West and North Wales.

About Earth Moves
Earth Moves is a Wirral-based community garden and creative wellbeing organisation supporting mental health, ecological learning, and inclusive arts practice since 2017. Our work brings together horticulture, environmental action, creativity, and community-led projects to build stronger and healthier local communities.

We believe creativity should be accessible to everyone and that art can help people connect with themselves, each other, and the natural world.

Competition Deadline
Entries close at 12 midday on 30 June 2026.
Winners announced in July.

How to Enter
Upload your artwork using our online submission form. You must be the original creator of the artwork. AI-generated artwork will not be accepted.

If you are under 18, please make sure you have permission from a parent or guardian before entering.
Competition Terms and Conditions

The competition is open to both adults and children/young people under 18. Entrants under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian before entering.

Artwork can include painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, textile work, printmaking, or other creative formats.

All artwork submitted must be the original work of the person entering the competition. Entries must not be AI-generated or created by someone else.

By entering, you confirm that you own the rights to your artwork. Artists will keep full copyright and ownership of their work.

Earth Moves may use submitted images of artwork for exhibition, website display, social media, and promotional purposes linked to the competition. Artists will always be credited where possible.

The competition closes at 12 midday on 30 June. Entries received after this time may not be accepted.

Winners will be chosen by the Earth Moves board and invited local artists. The judges’ decision is final.

The winner will receive a £100 Love2Shop voucher and the runner-up will receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

Earth Moves reserves the right to remove entries that are offensive, inappropriate, copied, or do not follow the competition rules.
